Pretreatment with topiroxostat and irbesartan improves cardiac function after myocardial infarction in rats

Abstract: Background: Activation of angiotensin receptor type1 (AT1R) and xanthine oxidase (XO) generates reactive oxygen species (ROS), that causes cardiac dysfunction after myocardial infarction (MI).
