“…We demonstrated that the Ct value of nasopharyngeal swab samples obtained on initial presentation can act as a predictor of patient outcomes during hospitalization. Many studies correlated a higher SARS-CoV-2 viral load with increased severity of illness [ 3 , 5 , 6 , 10 , 18 , 19 ].
