Hanson and Moore [1969] studied both the rapidly changing ('initial transient') and steady-state ('equilibrium') pressure responses to change in distension. From their figures it would appear that papaverine produced a downward shift of the curve obtained from the values for equilibrium pressure in dog colon.…”
