Pressure-Transient Analysis for Cold-Water Injection into a Reservoir Coupled with Wellbore-Transient-Temperature Effects

Abstract: Summary Presented here is an analytical framework to assess the impact of transient-temperature changes in the wellbore on the pressure-transient response of cold-water injection wells. We focus attention on both drawdown and falloff periods in a well after injection. Historically, these pressure data have been used to calculate reservoir properties concerning flood-efficiency and completion properties (formation permeability/thickness, mechanical skin, and fluid-bank mobilities). One key questi… Show more

“…With the development of horizontal fracturing technology in shale gas Wells, horizontal well bridge plug segmented cluster volume fracturing technology has gradually become an important means to increase reservoir and production in shale gas reservoirs and low permeability reservoirs, and has been widely applied in shale oil and gas and tight oil and gas horizontal Wells [1][2][3][4] . The fracturing process is inseparable from the use of fracturing sliding sleeve, and the pressure loss of fluid flowing through the fracturing sliding sleeve is an important parameter affecting the prediction of the entire wellbore pressure field [4][5][6][7][8] . There are two methods to solve the fluid flow pressure loss in typical downhole tools: theoretical solution and simulation solution [9] .…”
