Abstract:Predictions of outdoor sound propagation in uncertain conditions is a challenging task. Evidence suggest that using more than one receiver can reduce this effect of uncertainties. This paper studies via numerical simulations the effects of uncertainty in the source/receiver geometry and impedance ground condition on the sound pressure ratio recorded using the two-microphone method. A Monte Carlo method is employed study the effect of uncertainties in the range and ground parameters. The range and frequency are… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
