Pressing of Long-Length Pellets From Titanium Hydride Powder

Abstract: The paper examines pressing of the titanium hydride powder in a die lubricated with adipose to produce pellets with H/d  4/1 and additional compaction of these pellets with a combined lubricant separating them from the die. The pellet extrusion pressure in the additional compaction process is one order of magnitude lower than when the powder is pressed in a lubricated die.
