Presidentialisation of Parliamentary Systems? Frontrunner Concentration in Danish Local Elections

Abstract: A trend of presidentialisation of non-presidential political systems has been identified and discussed in the literature. However, a central aspect of the process, increasingly leadership-focused voting behaviour, is only rudimentarily studied. We assess whether frontrunners have become more important in elections in a non-presidential multiparty system.
