“…As an ongoing orogen that is only a few million years old, the majority of the island is still undergoing rapid tectonic deformation and uplift, and the river systems on the island are also actively adjusting their shapes with the structural activities (e.g., Chen et al, 2015; Yanites et al, 2010).
