Abstract:Introducción. El carcinoma escamocelular es una neoplasia maligna derivada de los queratinocitos. Usualmente se presenta en áreas expuestas al sol con daño por radiación ultravioleta. El origen primario umbilical es raro, siendo más frecuente las metástasis. Se expone el caso del carcinoma escamocelular primario umbilical más grande y de comportamiento agresivo reportado en la literatura.
