Present status and issues of services about patents, standards, Internet and chemical literature provision in Kanagawa Prefectural Kawasaki Library

Abstract

Kanagawa Prefectural Kawasaki Library was renewed in April in 1998 aiming at the speciality of science and technology. Furthermore, we reexamined the layout and the service of the library in 2001. First, I introduce the outline of the library. Next, I report about the features, the investigative purposes, the investigative method, the use, etc. on the information service on the patents and the standards. The information service has been performed since the Library's opening. Moreover, the circumstances and the use of the service on the Internet and the foreign chemical literature provision which was started in 2001 are reported. Finally, the issues to solve are mentioned.
