Presence of heat generation/absorption on Boundary layer slip flow of nanofluid over a porous stretching sheet

Abstract: In our present study, the boundary layer flow of nanofluid over a porous stretching sheet due to presence of heat generation/absorption with effects of velocity slip condition and convective boundary condition using homotopy analysis method have been investigated. The fluid flow and heat transfer equations used for the analysis take care on the influence of suction and blowing parameter the permeability parameter of porous medium, Velocity slip parameter, convective Biot number, Heat generation/absorption para… Show more

“…Rahman (2010) analyzed the convective hydromagnetic slip flow with variable fluid properties due to a porous rotating disk and obtained numerical results show that the slip factor significantly controls the flow and heat transfer characteristics. Daniel (2015) investigated the effect of heat generation/absorption on boundary layer slip flow of a nanofluid over a porous stretching sheet. He noticed that velocity profile, the flow field at the surface of a porous stretching sheet decreases as the velocity slip parameter increases.…”

“…There are many diverse applications of nanofluids such as biomedicines, nuclear reactors, refrigeration etc. Daniel [6] studied the boundary layer slip flow of nanofluid of a stretching sheet embedded in porous medium by using homotopy analysis method. Nield and Kuzentsov [7] discussed the thermal instability in a porous medium saturated by a nanofluid using the Buongiorno model.…”

“…This fact motivated us to discuss the heat transfer analysis of axisymmetric stagnation point flow of a second grade fluid over a lubricated layer of variable thickness. The modeled problems are solved by hybrid homotopy analysis method which is a combination of homotopy analysis method (Liao, 2012;Turkyilmazoglu, 2012;Abbasbandy et al 2013;Rashidi et al 2014;Hayat et al, 2014;Daniel and Daniel 2015;Daniel 2015) and shooting method (Na, 1979). The proposed methodology was firstly used by (Sajid et al, 2015a) for solving nonlinear equations with nonlinear boundary conditions.…”
