“…Zouhier and collaborates have reported previously a similar nanocomposite of ZnO and ZnFe 2 O 4 with slightly different physicochemical properties. [25] Comparing to the product prepared by Zouhier, the variations on S BET values and XRD patterns could be related to the differences of the selected preparation methods. In other words, synthetic conditions play an important role in the physical properties of these nanocomposites.…”

“…In this work, a modified methodology for the preparation of a nanocomposite consisting of ZnFe 2 O 4 nanoparticles embedded into mesoporous ZnO was implemented at two different molar ratios. [25] Comparison of the performance of these FTIR spectra for the prepared materials are depicted in Figure 1. From these results, Figure 1a corresponds to mesoporous ZnO nanoparticles, showing an absorption band fingerprint below 500 cm À 1 , corresponding to interatomic vibrations and matching to those reported on the literature.…”

“…At the same time, using high temperatures implies increased energy consumption and higher costs. Altogether, photocatalysts with practical applicability need to be able to function at room temperature [74,82,83].…”

“…Consequently, the textile and dyeing industry has begun seeking efficient methods for the removal of dyes. Meanwhile, there are various treatment processes that have been investigated and employed extensively for dyes elimination from wastewater [8,9], including coagulation and flocculation [10], biological treatment using anaerobic granular [11], catalytic wet oxidation photochemical treatment [12][13][14], Fenton's process, and adsorption technology. However, many of these technologies are expensive and complex when used to treat these dyes.…”
