“…112 In order to increase the thermal conductivity of epoxy resin, recently, Jinrui Ma and co-workers demonstrated the exfoliation of few-layered h-BN via surface modication using a wet ballmilling technique. 121 In this technique, pristine BN powder was mixed in a urea solution and then ball milled for soaking Fig. 7 (a) A flow chart showing the synthesis of small-layer BN and large-layer BN and (b) a schematic illustration of the exfoliation process using a ball-milling technique.…”

“…7 (a) A flow chart showing the synthesis of small-layer BN and large-layer BN and (b) a schematic illustration of the exfoliation process using a ball-milling technique. 121 times from 2-16 h; thereaer, it was centrifuged at 8000 rpm for 30 min, and the same process was repeated two times to attain the urea-free product. Further, to maintain the pH at around 7, DI water was poured into the ball-milled product, followed by centrifuging at 3000 rpm for 30 minutes; then, the supernatant precipitate was collected via a ltration process.…”

“…Yang et al utilized a poly(vinyl benzal) to modify BN via a noncovalent bond coating, which reached 0.89 W/(mꞏK) at 40 wt% h-BN@PVB loading using the solvent-assisted diffusion method and was 300% higher than the values of the neat epoxy resin [16]. Ma et al modified the BN by wet ball milling assisted with aqueous urea solution, and it was found that an 8 h milling time had the best enhancement of thermal conductivity, which was about 300% of that of pure epoxy resin [17]. However, most of the studies concentrated on chemically modified BN to increase the dispersion and enhance the compatibility of composites.…”
