Abstract:Introduction Rabies provokes acute and fatal encephalitis in all worm blooded mammal hosts; it is caused by a neurotropic, RNA virus belonging to the order Mononegavirales, family Rhabdoviridae, genus Lyssa-virus (Fauquet et al., 2005).
