Preparation of Industrial Noise Mapping and Improvement of Environmental Quality

Abstract: Environmental noise control is necessary for human health and auditory comfort conditions. In this respect, it is required that industrial noise should be kept under control and healthy living spaces should be obtained in residential areas. This paper aims to explain industrial noise control at urban and building scales. In this study, the strategic noise mapping process related to industrial activities in a line with the Environmental Noise Directive (END) was clarified. Besides this, what type of factors are… Show more

“…Attenuation depends on various factors, including the distance between the noise source and the receiver [14]. Additionally, it is affected by factors such as the presence of hard surfaces around the sound source, which act as barriers to the propagation of noise to further areas [15].…”

“…Istilah-istilah yang disingkat akan dijelaskan pada saat pertama kali digunakan. (Bozkurt, 2021) Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan yang disebutkan sebelumnya, dihasilkan data distribusi frekuensi. Kemudian, dengan menggunakan nilai rata-rata, frekuensi interval kebisingan, dan interval itu sendiri, dapatkan distribusi frekuensinya.…”

“…This study was conducted in an agglomerate manufacturing industry where workers were exposed to high levels of impact noises in the sanding and classification area. To obtain accurate data on the noise levels, measurements were taken at 6 different points surrounding the M350 ventilator for a duration of 5 days [43] at 4 different hours each day, as depicted in Figure 2. The measurement of noise in decibels, including its frequencies, was carried out with a calibrated sound digital level meter HY1361 to obtain real and exact values of the dB (A) in the measurements.…”
