Preparation of High Performance Pt Counter Electrodes on Conductive Plastic Substrate for Flexible Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

Abstract: Pt counter electrodes (CE) were been prepared using ion sputtering method on indium-doped tinoxide coated polyethylene terephthalate (ITO-PET) for flexible dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The effect of sputtering time on the properties was characterized by Feld emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), electrochemical impedance (EIS) and UV-vis absorption spectra. The flexible CE show increased catalytic activity but reduced transmittance when the sputtering time is increased from 0 to 80 s. The light-… Show more

“…27 The other studies show the DSSC fabricated at low tempertaure on ITO-PET achieved the efficiency between 3-4%. 28,29 A high efficiency between 5-6.50% has been Although, the final performance of DSSC is low, but this article focused the new material PDMS and the TCO coating and then applied to DSSC. We have demonstrated the new material after TCO coating can be used for DSSC system.…”
