Preparation of Dicationic Ionic Liquid Immobilized on Fe3O4@SiO2 and Evaluation of its Catalytic Efficiency in the Oxidation of Alcohols

Abstract: A novel magnetic supported dicationic ionic liquid namely Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2 ⋅DIL has been prepared, and characterized by various analysis methods such as FT-IR, TEM, SEM, XRD, EDX, EDX mapping, and TGA. Afterward, catalytic activity of the Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2 ⋅DIL has been examined in alcohols oxidation reaction. The resulting new nanocomposite as a heterogeneous catalyst displayed remarkable activity for the oxidation of various alcohols using H 2 O 2 under mild reaction conditions. Eventually, the as-prepared Fe 3… Show more

“…According to our previous research, we found that effectively synthesized core/shell Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2 ⋅ DIL can be used as a highly efficient catalyst in the selective oxidation reaction of alcohols under mild conditions [50] . These results encouraged the authors to study the catalytic performance in other reaction, herein we report a simple and effective method for the synthesis of 1, 8‐dioxodecahydroacridine in the presence of the core/shell Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2 ⋅ DIL.…”
