Abstract:Extended AbstractCuprous oxide (Cu2O) and core-shell Cu2O@Cu nanostructures have been synthesized by a facile wet-chemical approach using aqueous solution of copper (II) sulfate (CuSO4), L-ascorbic acid (C6H8O6) and potassium hydroxide (KOH). The short synthesis time of one minute and the effects of solvent temperature on the crystal structure, morphology and optical properties of the synthesized nanostructures have been studied. The structural and optical studies showed the nanoparticles prepared at room temp… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
