Preparation of Ag‐Al₂O₃ nano structures by combustion method and investigation of photocatalytic activity

Abstract: In this research, Ag‐Al2O3 nanostructures have been prepared via combustion synthesis and ammonium acetate and urea have been applied as fuels. The prepared Ag‐Al2O3 nanostructures were characterized by DTA, XRD, SEM, TEM, and BET spectroscopy. The effect of different ratios of silver to alumina and fuel percentage on morphology and particle size of prepared products were investigated. The results showed that using ammonium acetate fuel led to the production of Ag‐γ‐Al2O3 nanocompounds, while using urea produc… Show more

“…As previously reported, Ag/Al 2 O 3 nanocomposite was synthesized using solution combustion and urea as fuel [ 19 ]. The silver-promoted materials were prepared by dissolving an appropriate amount of AgNO 3 (1.56 gr) and Al(NO 3 ) 3 .9H 2 O (7.36 gr) in DI water and using urea (3.49 gr) as a combustion fuel.…”
