Preparation of 5‐(Triisopropylalkynyl) Dibenzo[ b , d ]Thiophenium Triflate

Abstract

This article describes the procedure for preparation of 5‐(Triisopropylalkynyl) dibenzo[b,d]thiophenium triflate. It presents some of the important points to be considered, the conditions that need to be maintained, characterization data, and the reagents required, as well as the techniques used and the equipment setup that are vital to carrying out the process. Prior to performing each reaction, a thorough hazard analysis and risk assessment should be carried out with regard to each chemical substance and experimental operation on the scale planned and in the context of the laboratory where the procedures will be carried out. The article also describes the hazards associated with working with chemicals and the ways to deal with these hazards.
