Preparation for parenthood: a concept analysis

Abstract: Objective: This article reviewed the literature and critically analysed the concept of preparation for parenthood. The analysis is mainly of a discursive nature with some theoretical underpinnings. In their concept analysis on the preparation for a parenthood role, Spiteri et al, (9) do not define the concept, but propose that being fathers and mothers requires preparation from various perspectives.
