Preparation, Characterization and Prevention Biological pollution of 4 (4-Benzophenylazo) Pyrogallol and their Metal Complexes

Abstract: New azo reagent was synthesized by reaction dizonium salt of Para aminobenzoic acid with Pyrogallol, also prepared three Chelate complexes of this reagent with the metal ions of Co(II), Ni(II), and Ag(I). This reagent was characterized by FTIR(Fourier Transform Infrared), UV. Visible spectrophotometer, FESEM and HNMR proton. The antibacterial activities of the compounds were studied and evaluated using gram positive and negative gram bacteria. The purity of the dye was checked by thin layer chromatography (TLC… Show more

“…Azo ligand and its metal complexes were synthesized by coupling methoxy phenylimidazole and the diazonium salt of PABA at 0-5 • C, and complexes were prepared by reacting the ligand with metal salts [72]. Through the reaction of diazonium salt of p-aminobenzoic acid and pyrogallol, the azo reagent was prepared, and three chelate complexes with the metal ions of Co, Ag, and Ni were also obtained [73].…”

“…Pharmaceuticals are chemicals commonly used in the treatment and diagnosis of diseases. Also, they are used to include veterinary compounds applied to illegal drugs [1]. Pharmaceuticals are produced in very large quantities and consume a variety of drugs that are used in the treatment of mankind, including synthetic hormones, statins, antibiotics, cytotoxins, and anti-inflammatories [2][3][4].…”

“…Their toxicity can directly or indirectly affect living organisms, primarily through their interaction with sunlight entering water bodies. This interaction can lead to interference with the growth of aquatic animals and a decrease in oxygen solubility, thereby inhibiting the proliferation of aquatic biota [1][2][3][4][5][6]. Dyes are not only detrimental to aquatic life but can also have harmful effects on human health, causing allergic reactions, dermatitis, and skin irritation.…”

“…Among these methods, the adsorption technique has gained popularity for its cost-effectiveness, simple operation, environmental friendliness, and ability to work at ambient temperature and pressure. Organic dyes, in particular, must be removed from effluents, and to achieve this, various well-known adsorbents such as hydrogel, activated carbon, natural fibers, carbon nanotubes, zeolites, and polymer materials have been developed [6,[11][12][13][14][15]. The efficacy of adsorption as a vital decolonization method in dyeing wastewater treatment is recognized, with its reliance on kinetic and equilibrium measurements offering simplicity and cost savings [16].…”
