Preparation, Characterization, and Evaluation of Anti-Inflammatory Activity of Etoricoxib Loaded Soluplus® Nanocomposites

Abstract: Objective: The objective of this study was to prepare and characterize etoricoxib (ECB) loaded Soluplus® nanocomposites to improve its physicochemical properties. The effect of polymer and surfactant concentration on particle size, in vitro percentage dissolution efficiency and the anti-inflammatory activity of nanocomposites were also investigated. Methods: The nanocomposites were prepared by using a freeze-drying technique. The analytical evidence for the formulation of lyophilized nanocomposites in solid sta… Show more

“…A sharp peak observed at 1726 cm -1 was attributed to the C=O stretching vibration in the ester group of MMA [16], while the absorption band at 1445 cm -1 confirms the presence of carboxyl groups in CMC as salts [20]. A shoulder peak observed at 1481cm -1 was assigned to the C-N stretching in TBAOH surfactant [21].…”
