Preparation and thermal‐mechanical property evaluation of cellulose insulation paper with differing nano‐SiC contents

Abstract: Cellulose insulation paper is the main component of oil‐paper insulation systems in oil‐immersed transformers. However, the poor thermal conductivity and thermal stability of the cellulose can lead to thermal ageing. It is critical to address this issue by improving the performance of cellulose, nano‐SiC‐modified cellulose models were established by molecular simulation, while nano‐SiC composite papersheets were prepared based on the simulation results, and the effects of different contents of nano‐SiC on the … Show more

“…Changes in temperature can easily cause changes in MSD, so exploring the effect of temperature changes on the MSD of insulating paper is also of reference significance for the study of thermal stability. The definition of MSD 34 is shown as MSD=ritri02 where rit is the position of i molecule or atom at time t, and ri0 represents the position of molecule or atom at time 0.…”

“…The MSD [ 45 ] is expressed as the average of the offset between the positions of all particles in the system and their initial positions at a certain moment, and the value of the MSD can characterize the intensity of the motion of each molecular chain in the system. The MSD can be calculated asMSD=|rifalse(tfalse)rifalse(0false)|2$$\text{MSD} = \langle \left(\left|\right.…”

“…During ageing test, samples are taken from 0, 2, 5, 10, 20, 30, and 45 days respectively [29], and the corresponding insulating oil samples are taken with a needle tube. After wiping the oil stains on the surface, the extracted insulating paper samples shall be subject to contact angle test, mechanical property test (reference standard: GB/T 12914‐2018), breakdown voltage test [30] (reference standard: IEC 60156), and dielectric property test [31] (reference standard: IEC 60247), and the extracted insulating oil samples shall be subject to water and acid content test [32] (reference standard: IEC 60814, IEC 62021).…”
