Preparation and properties of electroconductive acrylonitrile grafted poly(vinyl alcohol) modified nembrane

Abstract: PVA-g-AN was prepared, the yield and the graft efficiency were determined. A PVAg-AN metal chelated film was then prepared by mixing and soaking methods, separately. After treatment with NaBH4 aqueous solution or H2S gas, the electrical and photoconductive properties were investigated. In order to increase the adsorption amount for metal ion in the soaking method, the amidoxime group was introduced into the PVA-g-AN fihn in various conditions. The proposed structures of the metal chelated PVA-g-AN films were a… Show more

“…Polymers based on acrylonitrile (AN) are easy to prepare and presents a reactive pendant cyano group, which can be modified by different kinds of reagent through nucleophilic addition and cycloaddition reactions [23][24][25][26][27][28]. In general, AN polymers and copolymers for adsorbents are synthesized through suspension polymerization to give spherical beads which can be readily handled.…”
