“…Bisphosphonate compounds are strong chelating agents, the reaction of bisphosphonate compounds with technetium gave only three species (free pertechnetate 99m TCO 4 − , colloid, and 99m Tc‐complex) where the structure of the complex is formed from two molecules of bisphosphonate and one technetium atom like all previously reported bisphosphonates as shown in Figure .…”

“…For a better understanding of the affinity of 99m Tc‐HEIDP for bone mineral, we compared it with the parent complex 99m Tc‐ZL and the clinically widely used bone‐imaging agent 99m Tc‐MDP . The bone uptake of 99m Tc‐MDP was 3.26 and 4.79%ID/g, whereas that of 99m Tc‐ZL was 5.47 and 4.69%ID/g at 30 and 60 min p.i., respectively.…”

“…In order to better evaluate the bone‐imaging efficiency of 99m Tc‐HEIDP, a series of whole body scintigraphic images of a rabbit after intravenous administration of 99m Tc‐HEIDP was recorded dynamically in the first hour and compared with the images of 99m Tc‐ZL and 99m Tc‐MDP . The shapes and sizes of ROIs were kept constant for the whole imaging, and radioactivities of ROIs were determined.…”

“…Besides the radiopharmaceuticals mentioned above, some radiotracers targeting other organs including 99m Tc-BPHA for renal function [86], 99m Tc-labeled fatty acid [87,88], 99m Tc-labeled RGD-BBN peptide [89], 99m Tc-labeled radiotracers for apoptosis imaging [90][91][92], 99m Tc-labeled zoledronic acid derivatives for bone imaging agents [93][94][95][96][97][98][99] have been reported. In the past two decades, 131 Iradiopharmaceuticals have also been investigated.…”
