Abstract: Background: PMCA (p-Methoxycinnamic acid) is an active pharmaceutical ingredient derived from Kaempheria galanga L (known as kencur in Indonesia), which is poorly soluble in water. It can cause problems in the development of pharmaceutical dosage forms.
