Preparation and performance analysis of monodisperse glycidyl methacrylate modified restricted access media‐imprinted materials

Abstract: Using monodisperse poly(glycidyl methacrylate-co-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) as the matrix, and pefloxacin template molecules, a novel restrictedaccess medium molecularly imprinted polymers with Bovine serum albumin crosslinked on its surface was prepared through reversible additionfragmentation chain-transfer polymerization. Then, the obtained material was employed in dispersive solid-phase extraction to analyze the fluoroquinolones in untreated egg samples by high-performance liquid chromatographyultravi… Show more

“…For the above testing materials, their exclusion efficiencies might be due to the discrepancies in their hydrophilicity, the orders of their contact angles is indeed as follow: P VBC/DVB @poly(St‐ co ‐Nass)@poly(GMA) (33°) < P VBC/DVB @poly(St‐ co ‐Nass) (63°) < P VBC/DVB (139°). After being modified the hydrolyzed poly(GMA) on the P VBC/DVB outer as restricted access sites, the external hydrophilicity improves the favorable exclusion capacity of P VBC/DVB @poly(St‐ co ‐Nass)@poly(GMA), being corresponds to the general policy of restricted access 45,46 . In conclusion, when applying the complex samples, such as water, food, and so forth, the construction of hydrolyzed poly(GMA) has the capacity to improve the hydrophilicity of the developed adsorbents while inhibit the effects of proteins on adsorption sites.…”

“…The preparation of spherical particles follows our previous report. 17 Briefly, 5.0 mL of GMA, 125 mg of AIBN, and 1.5 g of PVP were dissolved in 67.5 mL of ethanol. The solution was mechanically stirred at 70 °C for 10 h. Acquired particles were washed with ethanol and then lyophilized in a freezedryer overnight, denoting them as PGMA.…”
