Preparation and oxygen sensing properties of Ti 3 O 5 submicron rods

Abstract: Ti 3 O 5 submicron rods, typically 0.5-2 µm in length and 100-300 nm in diameter, have been successfully synthesised via a facile approach combined hydrothermal and carbothermal reduction route. H 3 TiO 5 nanofibres blended with nano-sized carbon black were first prepared by the direct hydrothermal processing, and then Ti 3 O 5 submicron rods could be obtained by sintering the prepared nanofibres at 1250°C for 3 h.
