Abstract: Floating tablets are a new approach to extending the time a drug is in the stomach to improve therapy outcomes. Floating tablets were formulated with the drug, the polymers hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), and starch, fillers, and lubricants.
