“…The rheological and filtration properties of drilling fluids were evaluated by a Fann viscometer (Model 35, Fann Instruments Company, Houston, Texas, USA) and the dead weight filter press apparatus (Fann Instruments Company, Houston, Texas, USA) having filter paper of 9 cm diameter. The flow model of the IMME (O/W) emulsion mud was confirmed by obtaining a relation between the shear stress versus the shear rate and viscosity versus shear rate on the cartesian coordinate system with the aid of Anton Paar rheometer (Anton Paar Analytical Instrument Company, Ashland, Virginia, USA) at 85 °C (Dardir et al 2014). The resultant curves at this temperature provided a proper understanding of the flow model of the IMME (O/W) emulsion mud at temperatures relevant to wellbore and varying shear rate (Jha et al 2016).…”

“…2,2',2''-nitrilotris(ethane-2,1-diyl) tris(icosa-9,12,15-trienoate was prepared through amidation of triethanolamine with oleic acid until eliminating the theoretic amount water [15] and named as inhibitor (Y 3 ). The molecular structures of the studied inhibitors are shown in Fig.…”

“…Such products are oil-soluble, possess low hydrophile-lipophile balance (HLB) values (2-3 units) and, thus, are considered effective emulsifiers of water-inoil emulsions that are widely used, for example, in oil and gas production (Bondarenko et al, 2015;Fink, 2013;Ibragimov et al, 2017;Mardashov and Rogachev, 2014;Minaev et al, 2014;Rogachev et al, 2011). The main methods to prepare ethanolamides comprise aminolysis of FA esters, including triacylglycerols (TAG) and ethanolamines (Adewuyi, 2014;Adewuyi et al, 2012;De Almeida et al, 2013;Kumar et al, 2015Kumar et al, , 2016Wang et al, 2016), and direct FA amidation with ethanolamines (Boshui et al, 2013;Dardir et al, 2014;Lokhande et al, 2013;Mäki-Arvela et al, 2016;Yanovsky et al, 2013). Currently, the former method finds the greatest application due to the "soft" conditions of the aminolysis process, the simplicity of the hardware design, and the availability of raw materials.…”
