“…Aside from these factors, reduced point defects like oxygen vacancies together with lower conductivity may destabilize domain structures and then improve the domain wall mobility, thereby enhancing the piezoelectricity for CNCBT ceramics, as reported in soft/hard PZT piezoelectric ceramics [59]. Overall, the enhanced piezoelectric coefficient d33 and a relatively high Curie point Tc for x = 0.12 ceramics, as compared with other reported Aurivillius phase ceramics in the literature [9,11,15,33,[60][61][62][63][64][65][66][67][68][69] (shown in Fig. 8d), make the Na and Ce co-doped CBT ceramics promising materials for high-temperature piezoelectric applications.…”

“…The four fitting components in Ce 3 d XPS spectra of CNCBT ceramic can be observed in Figure 1F: v 1/ μ 1 and v 2/ μ 2. According to the previous studies, the v 1/ μ 1 peaks are indicative of Ce 4+ 3 d , whereas the v 2/ μ 2 peaks with lower bonding energy correspond to Ce 3+ 3 d 22 . The concentration ratio of Ce 4+ and Ce 3+ is obtained by approximately calculating the relative peak's intensity ratio (RIR) between v 1/ μ 1 and v 2/ μ 2, calculated to be 48.8:51.2.…”

“…Guo Li et al 11 synthesized highly textured CBT ceramics using a spark plasma sintering technique and obtained enhanced electrical properties ( d 33 = 24.2 pC/N and T C = 788 °C). Jing Xi et al 12 revealed that the sintering temperature of Ca 0.85 (LiCe) 0.075 Bi 4 TiO 15 ceramics decreases to 980 °C by Zn doping, suppressing the formation of oxygen vacancies and improving the resistivity ( ρ = 6.32 × 10 5 Ω cm at 600 °C). Lin Sheng et al 13 demonstrated that the T C of the Nd 3+ /Ce 4+ co-doped CaBi 4 Ti 4 O 15 ceramic increases to 794 °C due to the enhanced structural distortion.…”
