Preparation and Characterization of Bimetallic Fe-Co / Al2o3 for Hydrogenolysis of Glycerol

Abstract: Production of value added chemical product from glycerol, used as a co-product in biodiesel, is essential in sustaining bio-diesel industry. The Fe-Co catalyst over alumina is developed and characterized for application in the hydrogenolysis of glycerol using in situ hydrogen, produced during dehydrogenation of glycerol to lactic acid.
