“…While many simple Th IV , Np IV and Pu IV compounds such as AnMo 2 O 8 ,26 A 2 An(MO 4 ) 3 2b, 27 and A 4 An(MO 4 ) 4 2b, 27a–d, 28 (An=Th IV , Np IV or Pu IV ; A=alkaline metals; M=Mo or W) based on similar crystal structures demonstrate close resemblance, chemical distinctions raised from the different electronic configurations among these actinides do exist. The complex thorium tungstates reported here may pose a question of whether the corresponding analogues exist in Np IV and Pu IV , and how closely the physicochemical properties studied in this work are related to each other with respect to the different 5f shell structures.…”
