Synthesis and characterization of thallium–thorium molybdates and thallium–uranium (IV) molybdates

“…However, many well characterized ternary thallium molybdates as well as uranates did not show structural similarities with that of potassium and rubidium uranates and molybdates [20,21]. Also, during the recent work on synthesis and characterization of novel quaternary compounds in Tl-PuMo-O system, Dahale et al have reported Tl 2 Pu(MoO 4 ) 3 and Tl 4 Pu(MoO 4 ) 4 having orthorhombic structure [22] where as structural study of potassium and rubidium compounds of similar formule showed the different structures [8,9,17].
