Preparation and application of a surfactant‐modified Halloysite nanotubes for the adsorption of nitrates from aqueous solutions: Kinetic and equilibrium studies
Abstract:The current research proposes the hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide-modified Algerian halloysite nanotubes (HNTs-CTAB) as adsorbent for nitrate ions removal from aqueous solution via electrostatic interactions. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), Fouriertransform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and nitrogen adsorption-desorption analysis techniques have been used to characterize the prepared adsorbants. The different operating condition that may … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
