Abstract:Angiomatosis of the breast is very rare. The presentations are including breast mass, skin discoloration and breast enlargement that mimic to angiosarcoma. The imaging could suggest non-specific vascular tumors. The histology should be obtained for the certain diagnosis. Surgical excision is the standard treatment. To our knowledge, this is the first case that preoperative radiation is given. Currently, radiation is occasionally used in benign condition. This case shows the successful result of preoperative ra… Show more
“…Though surgical resection is the treatment of choice, non-surgical options are available if patient is a poor surgical candidate or if the lesion is unresectable given its location [ 11 ]. Embolization can be done to reduce blood supply to the mass and potentially reduce its size [ 12 ].…”

“…If there is widespread disease then thalidomide, zoledronate and interferon alpha can be considered [ 14 ]. Radiation can also be considered preoperatively for very large lesions [ 11 ]. Because angiomatosis was very low on our differential diagnosis, we opted for upfront surgical resection.…”
