Preoperative Low 25-hydroxyvitamin D Level Is Associated With Poor Prognosis of Papillary Thyroid Cancer

Abstract: Purpose: To evaluate the relationship between preoperative 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25[OH]D) level and poor prognosis factors of papillary thyroid cancer.Methods: A total of 1198 patients diagnosed of papillary thyroid cancer were analyzed retrospectively. Patients were categorized into vitamin D deficiency (VDD) group and normal group according to preoperative 25(OH)D<20 ng/mL and 25(OH)D≥20 ng/mL.
