“…In 2005, an APTB screening campaign was conducted among 221 homeless people in Marseille, using CXRs, and reported a 0.9% rate of infection [ 11 ]. During the 2013–2018 period, we conducted 1-day cross-sectional surveys among 617 sheltered homeless people, using various microbiological investigations (qPCR of sputum or stools, sputum culture), and found no cases of APTB [ 3 ]. These results are in line with the 0–2% APTB prevalence reported among homeless populations in western European countries during the 2000–2019 period [ 3 , 6 , 12 ].…”
