Preferential Lectin Binding of Cancer Cells upon Sialic Acid Treatment Under Nutrient Deprivation

Abstract: The terminal monosaccharide of glycoconjugates on a eukaryotic cell surface is typically a sialic acid (Neu5Ac). Increased sialylation usually indicates progression and poor prognosis of most carcinomas.
