Lowland rice has a very important role in meeting national rice needs because around 90% of rice production comes from paddy fields. The aim was to determine the performance growth and production of the Inpari variety that is adaptive and high yielding in irrigated rice fields. Inpari 42 and Inpari IR Nutri Zinc are white label with comparison to Inpari 32. The need for fertilizer is 300 kg of Ponska NPK and 200 kg of Urea/ha. Observational data included: growth performance consisting of plant height, number of productive tillers, panicle length. The performance of the yield and yield components consisted of the number of grain/panicles, the number of full grain/panicles and productivity. Data were analyzed by means of equality test (t-test). The results showed that the plant height of inpari 42 and inpari IR Nutri Zinc was relatively short while inpari 32 was classified as medium. The number of productive tillers and panicle length of inpari 42 and inpari IR nutri Zinc were not significantly different from inpari 32. The highest production of inpari 42 was 8.5 tons gkp/ha followed by inpari Ir nutri Zinc which was 7.0 tons gkp/ha better than comparison varieties.

Increasing rice production can be achieved by applying technological innovations such as the use of new superior seed varieties that are easily adopted by farmers. Seed variety contributed the most to increasing rice production by 56,1% as a production component. This research was conducted in Belanti Siam Village, Pandih Batu District, and the Pulang Pisau Regency. The choice of location and respondents was purposive with the consideration that Belanti Siam Village is a rice farming center that use of various rice varieties every year. This study analyzed farmers’ preference levels for potential seed sources to be produced, namely Inpari 32 Hewar Daun Bakteri and Inpari Padjajaran Agritan. The research was conducted from September 2021 to January 2022 through surveys and field observations of 20 seed breeders and four officers. Data were collected through direct interviews, using a questionnaire consisting of several parameters to determine farmers' preferences and responses. Secondary data were obtained from The Central Kalimantan BPS data. The results showed that the characteristics of resistance to pests and diseases were the most important factors for farmers in selecting varieties, followed by the production characteristics. Resistance to pests and diseases is the most important characteristic because this condition can lead to crop failure. In the vegetative phase, farmers preferred the Inpari Padjajaran Agritan variety (0.38), whereas in the generative phase, they preferred Inpari 32 Hewar Daun Bakteri (0.43 – 0.55). Farmers preferred the Inpari 32 Hewar Daun Bakteri variety (0.68) for resistance to pests and diseases.

Planting adaptive varieties is one of the important efforts that need to be taken so that productivity is higher, resistant to pests and diseases. Seeds are an important component of production technology to obtain optimal production levels. This study aims to determine (i) the best interaction, (ii) the best adaptive varieties (iii) the best seedling age. This research was conducted in Muara Tapus Village from March to September 2021. Using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first treatment was varieties with 3 levels, namely Ciherang, Cisokan Putih, and Mekongga, the second treatment was seedling age with 5 levels, namely seedling age of 30, 25, 20, 15, and 10 days. The results showed that the best interaction resulted from the Cisokan Putih variety treatment with 30 days of seedling age. Cisokan Putih variety and seedling age of 30 days are the best adaptive varieties and seedling age.
