Preface

Abstract: Conversion Materials" have recently attracted the attention of many researchers, and also have been investigated very actively. The Thermoelectrics Society of Japan was established on April 1st, 2004. Since the predecessor group of the society started in 1994, research activity on thermoelectrics in Japan has increased very rapidly.
