Abstract: The macrolactam natural product, FK506 (Tacrolimus), acts as apowerful and clinically useful immnosuppressant through disruption ofsignaling events mediated by the calciumdependent serine/threonineprotein phosphatase, calcineurin (CaN), in T lymphocytes.
