Prediksi Jumlah Kunjungan Wisatawan Mancanegara ke Indonesia

Abstract: Predict the number of foreign tourist's visit Indonesia. In 2020 the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has targeted the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia as many as 17 million visits. However, the number of foreign tourist visits decreased cumulatively (January- July 2020) by 64.64 per cent compared to the same period in 2019. Based on these conditions, it is significant to make accurate predictions to see if the target will be achieved or not in the future. One of the prediction methods use… Show more

“…In addition to using the local polynomial regression approach, this research also makes predictions using the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) method. The advantages of ARIMA are its flexible nature following the pattern of the data, a fairly high level of forecasting accuracy, simplicity, suitability for use in forecasting a number of variables quickly, and cheapness because it only requires historical data [7]. Relevant previous research related to predicting the number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia has been conducted by [7] which examines the same topic but uses the ARIMA method only.…”

Relevant previous research related to predicting the number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia has been conducted by [7] which examines the same topic but uses the ARIMA method only. The novelty of this research is that it uses the local polynomial method, which is able to overcome the fluctuating pattern of data quite well.…”

“…Aida Meimela's 2021 research entitled "Prediction of the Number of Foreign Tourist Visits to Indonesia" uses the seasonal ARIMA method to predict the number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia, with prediction results having a good level of accuracy. (Meimela, 2021). While the research that will be conducted is predicting the number of tourist visits to NTB using the SVR method, which has perfect accuracy based on the results of previous studies.…”
