“…In terms of self-efficacy, the model reveals that students' self-efficacy is a significant positive predictor of learning experience. The result, consistent with what Boverie et al (1998) and Lee and Witta (2001) found, suggests that students who believe they are capable of learning are more likely to report having positive experiences in the learning environment. These findings clearly deserve further and longitudinal exploration.…”

“…The significant relationship between students' perceptions of social ability to learning satisfaction is consistent with prior literature on social theories of learning. For example, Boverie et al (1998) examined variables including self-efficacy, learning/performance goal orientation, task value, learning strategies, learning styles, emotional intelligence and social presence as predictors of online learning satisfaction. Among those variables, social presence and self-efficacy were found to be positively correlated to student satisfaction with an online course (F (1, 98) = 10.79, p < .001; F (1, 98) = 4.00, p < .048, respectively).…”
