Predictive Cu porphyry potential mapping using fuzzy modelling in Ahar–Arasbaran zone, Iran

Abstract: Fuzzy set theory was successfully used to map areas of copper porphyry mineralization potential in the Ahar-Arasbaran district of Iran. Proximity to geological features is translated into fuzzy membership functions based upon qualitative and quantitative knowledge of spatial associations between known Cu porphyry occurrences and geological features in the area. Fuzzy sets of favourable lithology, geochemical anomaly, geophysical anomaly, structural feature, and alterations are combined using fuzzy logic as the… Show more

“…At the voltage of 450 V, the excessive voltage led to intense discharge, while the released high-energy caused micropore melting and enlarged the discharge channels and micropores. Moreover, (Sheng et al, 2018) the film thickening or densening reduced the conductivity, thereby decelerated the metal surface oxidation and decreased the amount of micropores on the oxidation film layers (Zhu et al, 2008;Pazand and Hezarkhani, 2018). At the electrode voltage of 450 V, evident cracks appeared at the oxidation film surfaces and between pores (Fig.…”

“…In this study, Landsat-7 ETM+, Landsat-8 and ASTER multispectral remote sensing datasets were used to identify hydrothermal alteration zones associated with epithermal gold mineralization and producing thematic layers, which were afterward synthesized in the Bayesian networks for mineral potential mapping in the Ahar-Arasbaran region, NW Iran (Figure 1). This region is a well-endowed terrain hosting numerous known epithermal gold deposits, several porphyry and skarn Cu-Mo deposits, Fe skarn deposits, Cu-Au porphyry deposits and many other Cu-Mo-Au vein mineralizations [46][47][48][49][50]. The deposits are associated with extensive hydrothermal alteration mineral zones such as iron oxide/hydroxides, advanced argillic, argillic, phyllic and propylitic [48,51,52].…”

“…The construction of new buildings and the demolition of construction projects in Guangzhou each year produce a large amount of construction waste. The large amount of construction waste and its disastrous effects in China is obvious (Devora Isiordia et al, 2017;Wani et al, 2018;Landowski et al, 2017;Camara et al, 2018;Yang et al, 2017;Fu and Liu, 2017;Pazand and Hezarkhani, 2018). The disposal, reduction, recycling and utilization of construction wastes have aroused public attention while little attention is paid to the output of construction waste in construction activities (Liu and Wang, 2013;Lu et al2017;Yuan, 2017;Huang et al, 2018;Alsulaiman and Nizam, 2018).…”
