Prediction of The High Voltage Insulators Service Life Based on The Effective Values of Leakage Currents

Abstract: The insulation condition of overhead lines is one of the main factors affecting reliability of overhead power transmission lines. It is known that the process of insulation lapping or rupture is mainly affected by environmental conditions and the degree of pollution of the insulators surface. This paper substantiates the possibility of using the leakage current values of insulators for monitoring the state of insulation and predicting its resource. The results of experimental studies of leakage currents of hig… Show more

“…31 It also informs design decisions for factors like insulation and heat dissipation, contributing to the creation of a new generation of electronic equipment characterized by increased efficiency, reliability, and safety. 32 Previously, we investigated the effects of inserting an extra phase, RFeO 3 (where R = rare Earth element), into nickel ferrites when doped above the solubility limit to increase their resistivity and dielectric properties. 33 The findings were encouraging, prompting us to explore our understanding of the underlying mechanisms regulating these advances deeper.…”
