Abstract:The work addresses the retrofitting of masonry columns through jacketing with polymeric-based composites. The presented numerical procedure assumes a strain-based incremental formulation relying on equilibrium, compatibility, and kinematic equations and precluding a strenuous integration required by a Finite Element approach.
