Predicting Student-Perceived Learning Outcomes and Satisfaction in ERP Courses: An Empirical Investigation

Abstract: This article uses the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model (UTAUT) as the basis for the research framework to examine factors that influence student-perceived learning outcomes and satisfaction in enterprise resource planning (ERP) courses. Antecedent variables considered are student attitude, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, training (hands-on), course structure, and perceived instructor knowledge. A Structural Equation Model (SEM) using LISREL was employed to test the measuremen… Show more

“…Thirdly, learners who are satisfied with the VoIP-enabled global learning experiences tend to show better learning outcomes. This finding is consistent with that of previous technology-enabled learning studies that students who have meaningful experiences of system interaction can have higher perceived learning outcomes and satisfaction (Alshare & Lane, 2011).…”

“…Earlier research on the ERP systems has identified transfer of learning (Dunaway 2018) as well as positive learning outcomes in the cognitive domain (Johansson et al 2014;Jewer and Evermann 2015;Rienzo and Han 2011). In the affective domain, there have been indications of increased motivation, attendance, and engagement (Alshare and Lane 2011;Jewer and Evermann 2015;Scholtz et al 2012).…”

“…These are essential to meaningfully create true and actionable AI in the form of effective data and AI algorithm. These are Smarter data models, unhindered access of unlimited amount of virtual data and powerful but cheap cloud computing system (Alshare and Lane, 2011). It is observed that most of the effective CRM applications in a business organization have started to provide AI features/algorithms with their products, for example, 'Dynamics 365 for customer insights'.…”
