“…The prevalence of pre-treatment sleep disorders was 66.7% and higher than in patients with solid cancers such as breast cancer (42.3%), gynecological cancers (46.8%), head-andneck-cancers (42.7%), and prostate cancer (20.8%) (20)(21)(22)(23). Moreover, the prevalence in the current study was higher than in a study of patients with recurrent glial neoplasms (46.8%), in a study evaluating patients with glioma following surgical resection (33.7%), and in a study evaluating sleep problems during the year prior to the diagnosis of adult glioma (41%) (11,24,25). However, due to the different settings, it does not appear reasonable to compare these data to the results of our present study.…”

“…The evolution of neurological symptoms and signs enables the estimation of the growth dynamics of gliomas: tumours that cause symptoms only weeks before diagnosis are usually fast growing whereas those that cause symptoms for years before being diagnosed are usually slow growing. In most individuals, the symptoms and signs reported the year before diagnosis are non-specific (for example, fatigue or headache) [9][10][11] . A discussion of the patient's history might reveal familial risk or rare exogenous risk factors (such as exposure to radiation) associated with the development of brain tumours.…”

“…What other differences will arise for ship types such as bulk carriers, fishing vessels, tugboats, pleasure crafts, and cruise ships can be demonstrated by analyzing past accidents. Lastly, although many studies ( 31 41 ) in the literature based the research results on the opinions of a small expert group, as in this study, the results of this study can be extended with a larger expert group in future studies.…”
