Abstract: Tunicamycins (TUNs) are Streptomyces-derived natural products, widely used to block protein N-glycosylation in eukaryotes or cell wall biosynthesis in bacteria. Modified or synthetic TUN analogues that uncouple these activities have considerable potential as novel mode-of-action antibacterial agents.
